one hundred and eighty four

(It’s July 5th.)

We made it to NYC today. What a lovely (yet very hot!) day!

We met Karen at Port Authority, dropped our stuff off at Ning’s cute little apt, ate Mexican food, and tried to decide what to do on this hot day.

After careful consideration and some tacos, we decided to go to the Natural History museum for the rich learning that would take place (and mainly the air conditioning…let’s be honest). Well, we ended up getting sidetracked walking through Central Park, so we just sat in the shade and people-watched. One of my favorite pastimes anywhere and everywhere. Lucky for us, we sat in front of a marionette Humpty-Dumpty performer. It’s amazing the kids that came out of the woodwork to watch that show.

Needless to say, it was great people watching.

For dinner we ate at this cute little bar with the best French Onion soup I’ve ever tasted, then we went to the Hookah Bar. And were thoroughly disappointed. The past 2 times we’ve been there, everything was great, but this time, it just wasn’t up to par.

The night ended with a nightcap (or two) and some intense convo, music, and headstands. It was quite a beautiful day!
