Time Out

Ok…just to let you know. My fam is in Boston right now (and we have been since Friday morning) to visit with Karen’s (my bro’s gf) parents for her final dance recital. I will be doing posts when I get home of 27, 28, 29, and 30. Don’t fret! I haven’t given up or forgotten, I promise. I will resume on Monday with pics and lots of postive-ness!

Twenty Six

I have to admit though…I don’t know if it’s a positive or negative yet…haha. They’re a bit whispy. I think I want them thicker and more defined. Not like blunt and straight across, but just more than they are. What do you think??

Twenty Five

I watched videos today of my year in Mexico and posted some on YouTube. There are 2 of QB (Yuyo’s English Bulldog) and about 3 of Hay and then 1 of me singing an Iron and Wine song. My YouTube name is BrittanLee if you want to look them up. I’d like to know what you think about my singing one. Should I add more, or is it like a dumb youtuber thing to do?? I’m going to attach my favorite video of QB and me below!! haha. He was suuuch a precious puppy. But VERY bad!!

Twenty Four

Today is the bday of my BFF and former Mexican roomie Megan Leigh Killen!!!!!!! She lives in Huntsville now and is working and speaking Spanish daily at a preschool they just started in the public school system. Man…this time last year for her birthday was a craaazy night!!! hahahaha. So fun. I love you MLKKKK!

Echale ganas.

Twenty Three

I went to the doctor today for the first time in a LOOONG time and good news! I’m healthy. At least she said everything looked normal. Now I just wait 10 days for the results. Both Dr. Carter and the nurse that helped me were so sweet! It calmed all of my nervousness and made me feel welcome in the doctor’s office…something that is not super easy to do.

Twenty Two

I went through my AP art portfolio from high school today. It was a fun trip down memory lane. Some of the work I did really surprised me. Some of it was awful, but some of it I really loved. I’ve forgotten how much I love the process of art. I want to start doing it again.

Twenty One

Saturday started off with a thunder storm. Is there anything better than waking up to rain pounding on a tin roof and thunder rolling in the distance?? It was a great way to start the day. L.A.Z.Y. is how you spell our attitude the whole, entire day! And then…the creepy Rob Lowe version of Drew Peterson sealed the deal for the wonderful cabin stay. We then left the little cabin in the woods and came home blaring N*SYNC every mile.

On Friday, not only were we in the mountains, which is amazing enough as it is, but we ate at this little cafe called Canterberry’s. They have THE BEST tomato basil soup evvvver. I’m not kidding when I say that. And I know food. Sooooo, I ate some. To counteract the creamy soup, Lisa and I trekked up the mountain. Walnut mountain. Hooooly moly. It was a giant incline for about 20 minutes of heart pumping cardio. So good (once it was over!).

Lisa, Joy, and I are going to the cabin tonight for the weekend. We’re going to drink wine, laugh, and (most importantly) watch the new Drew Peterson movie on Lifetime Friday night!! That being said, I don’t know if I’ll be able to update because we don’t have internet at the cabin! So…Sunday when I get home, I’ll have 20-22 ready to post! Have a happy weekend!

Before I went to dinner tonight, I did some hardcore aerobics. I really do love aerobics a lot. It’s fun and kind of funny because the instructor is seriously so motivational telling you to “kick off those calories, punch off those calories, put your energy in it, burn those carbs, etc.”. She’s always so upbeat and just like the antidote to my negative attitude about getting my heartrate above  120. Working out/running is a fickle thing for me though, because I LOVE the way it makes me feel, but I HATE participating in it. Here’s to Netflix cheesy workout videos!!
